weapons, and a commitment to keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of other nations and potential terrorists. it allows countries to pursue nuclear technology. the resolution is also aimed at giving the security council broader powers to enforce those goals if nations violate the measures. >> international law is not an empty promise, and the trees will be enforced. >> it could give the u.s. more negotiating power with countries like iran -- if countries like iran and north korea to pursue nuclear weapons. wednesday, obama met with the russian president, who for the first time agreed with the possibility of sanctions if iran does not cooperate. >> if iran does not respond to serious negotiations and additional sanctions -- to serious negotiations, additional sanctions remain a possibility. >> after wrapping up the meeting, the president had said its board for the g-20 summit -- heads to pittsburgh for the g-20 summit. are ready protesters are in

>> after being the subject of scandalous headlines for the past several weeks, the community activist group acorn is making headlines of its own. it filed a lawsuit against the two people who reportedly videotaped them in baltimore -- a videotape in baltimore a group of employees giving tax applies to the two posing as a pet and prostitute. -- pimp and prostitute. >> it would kind of be hard to argue that, and the reason they videotaped this stuff illegally was the emotional distress they were trying to impose on these employees. i don't think they knew or cared about the employees. they were trying to get at acorn. >> the group also seeks damages from a conservative columnist who posted the videos on his website.

multi-car accident involving a military humvee in central texas. this is the aftermath of the accident on interstate 35 wednesday. the humvee was traveling southbound when it somehow went airborne and crossed into the center barrier, crashing into oncoming traffic. it caused a chain reaction, involving six vehicles. it shut down traffic in both directions for about three hours. in miami, a special needs teacher has been found guilty of abuse after being accused of putting hot sauce in an autistic student's soda. she was found guilty after prosecutors found she placed the boy's drink to "teach the student a lesson." she says she is innocent. her attorney says that she is a strict but dedicated teacher. she faces a maximum sentence of five years in jail. and a which a judge will face charges in a court room.

>> a look at how three major banks have changed their policies on the large overdraft fees. >> in a major reversal, bank of america says that beginning next month it will finally allow customers to opt out of overdraft protection. that means that if there is no money in your account, the transaction will be declined. now the transactions are paid for a fee of $35 each. the bank also says that it will no longer charge fees on a very small overdraft, and it will limit the maximum overdraft fees per day to a total cost of $140, down from $350 now. the change comes in response to

an uproar by consumers, some who vented on youtube. >> yes, i deserve two, two overdraft fees, but six? come on. >> wells fargo announced changes similar to bank of america. jpmorgan chase went farther, to reduce overdraft fees and and the practice of reordering transactions to generate more fees. consumer groups say that all our welcome changes, but not nearly enough. >> overdraft fees are one of the most abusive practices currently out in the marketplace. >> watch your account balance closely, and try to maintain -- if your bank would not let you opt of overdraft protection, shop around. bank of america says it is making the changes now to provide immediate help to customers who repeatedly overdraw their account.

>> good to see you. good to see you, too. if you have a question for doctor hammond -- in the medical alert, scientists in thailand claimed that an experimental vaccine has helped to prevent the spread of the aids virus. researchers in bangkok announced the findings of the world's largest ever aids vaccine trial, co-sponsored by the national institute of allergy and infectious diseases and the u.s. army. a combination of two vaccines were used, one priming the system to attack the to be and the second one -- attacking the hiv and the second one assisting the response. it is not clear if the vaccines would work in the u.s. or elsewhere. before the h1n1 flu shots arrive next month, some folks are making it easier to get a seasonal flu vaccination.

this local health department in austin, texas, is offering a flu shot clinic in a drive through format. injections are free for medicare recipients no surprise here, the turnout was much bigger than organizers had expected. flavored cigarettes with flavors like vanilla and mint are now banned by the food and drug and ministration. the fda says that the band is expected to reduce the number of children who start to smoke. most adult smokers pick up the habit as dangerous. the fda plans to research that finds that 17-year-old smokers are three times as likely to use flavored cigarettes as those over the age of 25. up next, the maryland lottery numbers. and we will get another check of your insta-weather-plus forecast but first, a look at wall street.
